The Milwaukee Bucks will be looking to find a way to beat the Atlanta Hawks in the first round of their NBA Playoff Series. The Atlanta Hawks are back in the playoffs and will be looking to improve on their performance from last season. The first NBA Game will take place on Saturday night in Atlanta and will be aired on ESPN at 5:35 PM Eastern Time.
The Hawks are the big favorite in this series with the Las Vegas Betting line at-420. The Milwaukee Bucks can be found at the Las Vegas Hilton at +375 to win the series outright.
In Game 1 the Atlanta Hawks opened as -8.5 favorites as a consensus by the Las Vegas oddsmakers with the total at 189 at the Las Vegas Hilton and at Leroy’s.
Offshore sports-betting had the Hawks open up at -8.5 and that number has not moved. The Total has been played under and now sits at 185.5.
The Bucks will be without Center Andrew Bogut who will be out of the playoffs with an arm injury. The Bucks will have to find a way to get some baskets in the paint by the play of their perimeter players. The Bucks have one of the best rookies in the league in Brandon Jennings. Guard John Slamons cam over form the Bulls in a midseason trade. Slamons, one of the more underrated players in the league, made thew Bucks a viable threat over the second half of the season.
The Atlanta Hawks were an injury plagued team in the second round of the playoffs last season when they were swept in four games by the Cleveland Cavaliers. They are healthy this season and will have a deeper team with e addition of Jamal Crawford. Crawford is the leading candidate for the sixth man of the year. Crawford has played 10 seasons without playing in a playoff game.
