Miami Red Hawks (4-7 SU, 6-5 ATS) at Ohio Bobcats (8-3 SU, 5-6 ATS)
The defending conference champions the Miami Red Hawks look to have their work cut out for them as they meet in-state rival the Ohio Bobcats today. The last five meetings have proven to be losses against Ohio. Miami comes in after last week’s loss to Western Michigan (24-21) at home ending their hopes for a spot in the bowl game. Just the opposite, Ohio won (29-28) last week at Bowling Green clinching the MAC East and securing a spot in the MAC Championship.
With quarterback Tyler Tettleton at the helm, the Bobcats are a well-balanced team that runs and throws the ball for over 200 yards per game. The Bobcats remain ranked 20th in the nation for defensive pass efficiency defense.
While the Red Hawk’s Zac Dysert (quarterback) keeps Miami’s ranking at second best in passing in the MAC, they have trouble running the ball with a nations worst 87 yards per contest.
There are no reports of significant injuries for either side while weather may come into play with chances of thunderstorms and 50-degree weather with 20-mile winds coming in from the SW.
Ohio Bobcats are a 7-point favorite on the road.
